| --------------- | --------------------------------- |
| `column number` | The number of the column (index). |

### Examples

#### 1. Example 1

In this example, `the column` refers to the `Address` column in the table below.

| Name | Number             | Address          | City          |
| ---- | ------------------ | ---------------- | ------------- |
| john | + 1 (415) 691 9426 | 123 east street  | San Francisco |
| joe  | + 1 (415) 691 1234 | 321 west street  | San Jose      |
| jack | + 1 (415) 691 4595 | 213 north street | San Francisco |

Note: This sample table can be generated using the `create a sample table` procedure.

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Automation" %}

```
get the column's column number
```

{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Results" %}
2
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

Since the columns are numbered starting at 0, the `Address` column has a column number (index) of 2.
