Overview of the GitLab integration.

Overview

GitLab is a DevSecOps platform that provides Git repository management, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, and code review. This integration allows you to manage your GitLab resources programmatically.

Setup

The following integrations need to be connected to your Kognitos workspace:

Steps

Follow these steps to connect the integration in Kognitos:

Using the left navigation menu, go to IntegrationsExplore Integrations.

Find

Search for the integration and click on it.

Connect

Click on Connect to add a connection to the integration.

Configure

Add a name for the connection. You'll be prompted for authentication details if needed. Then, click on Connect.

Authentication

Use one of the following authentication methods to connect this integration in Kognitos. Each method has its own configuration requirements.

Connect using Personal Access Token

Connect to GitLab using a Personal Access Token.

Your Personal Access Token from GitLab. Found in User Settings > Access Tokens.

GitLab Instance URL

The GitLab instance URL. Defaults to "https://gitlab.com" for GitLab.com. For self-managed instances, use your instance URL (e.g. "https://gitlab.example.com").

The available actions for GitLab are listed in the product UI on the integration page once you create a connection.
